About The Position

This is a part-time Instructional Assistant position in a self-contained special education setting. The position is 25 hours per week and requires completion of Basic Training provided by the JSD Special Education Department within one week of hire. Additional training is available to advance to lane 5. The position starts at Lane 4, Step 1 ($21.33/Hour) effective July 1, 2026.

Requirements

• Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department.
• Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
• Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 5 upon completion.
• Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department within one week of hire.
• Complete additional 40 hours of training through the Special Education department to increase to lane 5 upon completion within six (6) months from hire date.
