Chapman University seeks applications for an Instructional Assistant Professor of Chemistry (non-tenure track) in the Schmid College of Science and Technology, starting August 2026. The undergraduate-only serving Chemistry and Biochemistry Program is home to faculty with specializations in a broad range of fields, including physical, organic, analytical, inorganic, and biochemistry. Biochemistry program are characterized by personalized education, small class sizes, innovative teaching, and strong research mentoring and student-faculty interactions. Instructional faculty play critical roles in the program for teaching, pedagogy, advising, and service. In addition, instructional faculty have the opportunity for promotion to associate and full professor, are senate-eligible, and have full votes at both the program and college levels.
