About The Position

This position is for an Instructional Assistant III in a Resource Room program, working 6 hours per day for 9 months. The role focuses on supporting students in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).

Requirements

  • High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Minimum of 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
  • A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
  • Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or other similar organization. Certification must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands-on component. Online courses will not be accepted.
  • High school transcript or other equivalent, (GED, foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Copy of a valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
  • College transcript(s) from an accredited college or university, if applicable or copy of passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
  • Current CPR/AED certificate as indicated above. A copy of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate must be uploaded into the application.
  • Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
  • Out of District Applicants-REQUIRED EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Please disclose the three (3) most recent years of work experience including dates of unemployment, schooling and volunteer work under the “Experience and Credentials” section of the application.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of the Language Proficiency Test, as measured by a District-approved third-party administrator.
