About The Position

This position is for an Instructional Assistant III in a Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) program, specifically for grades K-2 at Ruthe ES. The role involves working in a Resource Room setting for 9 months a year, with 6 hours of work per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university, or 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (PAPA) or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience working with students in a school setting.
• Must possess a valid Nevada State Department of Education endorsement as a Paraprofessional.
• Must possess a valid Nevada driver's license.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
