About The Position

The Instructional Assistant II position at Del Dayo Elementary School is a part-time, permanent role working 6 hours per day, 5 days a week, for a total of 206 days per year. This role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs, specifically in mild/moderate settings. Responsibilities include supporting teachers by running small groups, assisting students in large groups within Special Day Class settings or General Education classrooms.

Requirements

Relevant experience to the position.
Experience working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs (mild/moderate).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.

Nice To Haves

Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
