About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position for an Instructional Assistant II providing 1:1 support for students with mild/moderate support needs. The role involves working with students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. Typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in larger groups within Special Day Class settings or General Education, and supporting the teacher's needs. The position is at Woodside School and requires 6 hours of work per day, totaling 0.75 FTE. The length of the work year is 9 months, with 206 days per year, 5 days per week. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Requirements

Relevant experience as detailed in the application.
Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license (in some programs).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
