About The Position

Instructional Assistant II - 1:1 Support - Mild/Moderate Support Needs. This role involves working with students served in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs. Example of typical duties include running small groups, assisting students in large groups in both Special Day Class settings or General Education and supporting the teacher's needs. We are looking for candidates with any combination of experience and training which provides the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.

Requirements

• Must pre-qualify by attaching your High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current) OR Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
• Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required, regardless of educational background.
• Applications submitted without the required test results will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license
