About The Position
Instructional Aide Note: These positions may require re-assignments to various schools throughout the school year as the need arises. Reports to: Principal and Assigned Teachers Job Goal: To assist school personnel in providing an appropriate educational program. Terms of Employment: 187 days.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED) and academic competency in basic skills.
- Adequate strength and dexterity to perform all required tasks including lifting, stooping, and bending.
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Nice To Haves
- For Title I or Title I Targeted Assistance Program Schools only : Must hold an associate’s degree or have completed a minimum of 48 hours of study at a regionally accredited institution of higher education or have successfully completed the Alabama State Board of Education approved WORKKEYS test.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate or acceptable.
