About The Position
This position is for an Instructional Aide focused on discipline at Horizon Middle School. The role is part of the Paraprofessional/Instructional Aide team and is for the 2026-2027 school year. The position involves working with children and requires adherence to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completed two (2) years of study at an institution of higher education (48 college credit hours) OR Associate's degree (or higher)
- Must apply and obtain a Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate (UPON HIRE)
- Ability to work well with children
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work well under supervision
- Ability to use computer and be familiar with word, excel, access, and e-mail systems
