This role involves adapting classroom activities, assignments, and materials to support special education students' participation. The Instructional Aide assists in developing and implementing behavior and instructional support plans, preparing and adapting instructional materials, and training staff, parents, and students in specialized instructional strategies. The position also includes assisting with data collection and assessments for behavior support services, implementing alternative communication and social skill development techniques, and implementing behavioral plans designed by the IEP team. The aide will monitor and record student progress, participate in staff development, report observations and incidents, and supervise students in various school settings, including assemblies and field trips. Travel to school sites is required.
