About The Position

This position provides functional supervision of the Treatment Department and is responsible for the quality of inmate classification and work assignment processes at the Unit. The role ensures quality evidence-based programs and services are provided to meet inmate treatment and reentry needs. The Institutional Program Manager also serves as an Administrative Duty Officer, managing all institutional operations on a rotational basis. Responsibilities include conducting and attending unit meetings to ensure audit compliance and information exchange, and assisting in the development, preparation, compliance, review, and revision of ACA Standards folders and Treatment policies/procedures. The role involves developing and establishing professional relationships with internal and external audiences to enhance information networks, assist inmates, and ensure smooth facility operation. Additionally, the position promotes the development of self and staff through training and may supervise staff in Recreation Services or Chaplain Services.

Requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge of VADOC correctional policies, procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete reports and/or write policies or procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of inmate classification processes and inmate reentry preparation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Prior supervisory experience.
