About The Position

The Installer Team Lead will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers. This role independently manages complex projects from start to finish, requiring extensive knowledge of furniture lines and acting as a product and supplier expert. The position handles escalations, communicates with all necessary parties, and demonstrates a thorough understanding of installation blueprints. The Installer Team Lead will solve issues with Project Managers, Facilities, or Customer Quality, and possesses advanced knowledge of furniture vendors and products. This role also involves training lower-level installers and managing large teams and subcontractors simultaneously. The Installer Team Lead will attend pre-install meetings for jobs exceeding approximately $50,000 to understand the scope with the Project Manager. They will need to understand every detail on a blueprint, including file bars, electrical, and dimensions, and comprehend the layout of large areas, ensuring panels are placed correctly according to designer-provided dimensions. Strategic problem-solving for unexpected issues, such as cutting work surfaces, is also a key responsibility. The role includes closing out jobs in CORE with customers, loading furniture orders onto trucks, delivering products, and unloading, un-cartoning, and distributing them. Furniture assembly and installation will be completed according to specifications (training provided), and furniture will be inspected for proper operability according to manufacturer guidelines. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, including assembling various chairs from different vendors. Strengthening customer relationships through excellent customer service is a priority. The role may involve making small deliveries independently, such as chairs and chair mats. Install/delivery will be documented in CORE. Professional appearance and conduct are expected at customer locations, with a uniform provided.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Install Experience
  • Enjoys assembly work and has the ability to use basic hand/power tools.
  • Ability to use a tape measure properly.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and keep it current.
  • Must be able to lift 70 -100 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically solves issues that were not expected, including cutting work surfaces when needed.
  • Closes out jobs on CORE with customer(s).
  • Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers products to customer.
  • Unloads, un-cartons, and distributes product accordingly.
  • Completes furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications.
  • Inspects furniture for proper operability according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Works by themselves and with a team of people.
  • Puts together an array of chairs from different vendors.
  • Strengthens customer relationships by providing excellent customer service.
  • Makes small deliveries by themselves (e.g., a chair and chair mats).
  • Documents Install/delivery in CORE.
  • Looks and acts professionally at customers’ location.
