About The Position

The Installer I is responsible for reading and interpreting proper installation specifications for various construction projects, with a focus on doing the job right and being the best.

  • Entry-level or 1 year of technical experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, and request customer feedback to improve the partnership
  • Computer-literate
  • Must be trainable and coachable
  • Ability to learn customer specifications and standards
  • Excellent communication skills; speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills
  • Ability to learn time management while working on customer sites
  • Possess dependability; follow instructions, respond to management's directions; keep commitments
  • Experience in handling power tools
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to identify and request parts necessary to establish low and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and grounding provision
  • Learn how to sew or stitch cabling
  • Learn how to read floor plan drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities
  • Learn how to read and interpret installation specifications
