Requirements

- Entry-level or 1 year of technical experience
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Respond promptly to customer needs and request customer feedback to improve the partnership
- Computer-literate
- Must be trainable and coachable
- Ability to learn customer specifications and standards
- Excellent communication skills; speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; demonstrate group presentation skills
- Ability to learn time management while working on customer sites
- Possess dependability; follow instructions, respond to management's directions; keep commitments
- Experience in handling power tools
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs
- Must be willing and available to travel away from home for several weeks at a time (up to 75%)
Responsibilities
- Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling of central office equipment
- Identify and request parts necessary to establish low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and provision for grounding
- Create comprehensive and accurate installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders
- Create or correct location records, drawings, bill of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect additions and modifications to customers' location (central office) because of installation or engineering activities
- Review installation specifications
