As an Installation Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience, Storefront, Glazing, Doors, Aluminium Frames, Electrical, Glass, Automatic Doors, Hardware etc.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities
  • Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21 due to job‑related responsibilities.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within one (1) year of employment and maintain certification as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications.
  • Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job-site conditions.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner for prevention of accidents to themselves, co-workers, contractors on-site and the general public and property of all concerned.
  • Wear and maintain any/all Personal Protection Equipment when necessary.
  • Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
  • Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
  • Participate in training programs
  • Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds (with lifting aids) on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation; climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions as required.
