About The Position

Safe Haven Security is seeking an Installation Technician / Security Advisor to install, service, and troubleshoot residential alarm and automation systems. The role aims to ensure security systems function properly and perform optimally while providing customers with peace of mind. The technician works within an assigned territory and directly with prospective customers on site. Responsibilities also include consulting with customers about security needs and educating them on system operation.

Requirements

Possess or be able to obtain basic tools necessary for the job.
Be proficient in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally and courteously with customers.
Be able to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently using problem-solving skills.
Maintain auto insurance coverage that meets company standards throughout employment.
Be able to obtain or possess an alarm agent permit where applicable and as required by federal, state, and municipal laws.
Be able to obtain or possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving history that meets company standards.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Install security alarm systems, including control panels, sensors, cameras, and related equipment.
Conduct sales consultations to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate security solutions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
Test installed security systems and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Educate customers on the proper use and functionality of their security systems.
Complete installation reports, service tickets, inventory records, and other required paperwork.
Stay current on security alarm systems, emerging technologies, and industry standards.
