About The Position

This role is for an Installation Technician / Electrical Apprentice in the green energy sector, focusing on home efficiency solutions like residential electrification, natural cooling, energy audits, and insulation. The company is a local, family-owned, and veteran-operated leader in Colorado. This position is described as an apprenticeship in home performance, where the technician will assist licensed electricians and project leaders, learning skills for a career in the trades. The role involves diverse tasks such as framing, wiring, and insulation, offering a versatile skillset. Training is provided, including in-house mentorship and industry best practices, covering framing, drywall, light electrical, and roofing work, as well as leadership, safety, and Lean operations. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of residential construction, roofing, or handyman experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matters most.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, work in tight attics/crawlspaces, and lift heavy materials.
  • Take initiative; do not wait to be told to clean up or prep the next tool.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices for time tracking and job notes.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Professional appearance and ability to communicate politely and effectively with homeowners and teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Service Titan is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing whole house fans, rooftop ventilation, and electrical upgrades.
  • Apply skills in framing, drywall, and weatherization.
  • Work in attics and on roofs, climb ladders safely, and carry materials (up to 50 lbs overhead).
  • Proactively manage vehicle readiness, job site preparation, and cleanup.
  • Anticipate the next step to keep the crew efficient.
  • Participate in daily huddles to internalize improvements.
  • Ask questions and refine techniques daily.
  • Ensure work is done correctly and on time.
  • Arrive on time, every day, ready to work.
  • Keep the service van stocked, organized, and safe.
