About The Position

The Installation Specialist is responsible for executing security system installations within defined budget and project constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service. This role ensures all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and customer expectations. The Installation Specialist serves as the front-line point of contact for clients in the field, maintaining strong communication and professionalism throughout each project. This role also collaborates closely with sales, project management, and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery and achievement of gross profit targets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in security system installation or related low-voltage field
  • Strong working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, and related systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screening per company and client requirements
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Florida FASA/BASA License required or ability to obtain before hire (for applicable Florida projects)

  • Technical school or relevant certifications (BICSI, NICET, ESA, or manufacturer-specific training) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute installation of security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercoms, and related low-voltage systems
  • Ensure all installations meet company standards for quality, safety, and code compliance
  • Deliver superior customer service by maintaining professionalism and clear communication on job sites
  • Serve as the primary on-site client contact during installations, addressing questions, concerns, and technical issues
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales staff, and operations teams to align installations with project timelines and budget requirements
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Maintain detailed installation documentation including job logs, as-built drawings, and system configurations
  • Obtain customer signature upon job completion to confirm satisfaction and project closure
  • Train clients on basic system operation and provide post-installation support as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times
