About The Position

The Installation Site Lead is responsible for providing leadership at the remote location and supervising the safety of employees, guidelines, and productivity. This role involves installing and maintaining production machines, equipment, and facility systems, performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in a leadership position.
  • Minimum of seven years Aerospace Automated Assembly Systems or Automotive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and/or measuring devices.
  • Has full understanding of fabrication equipment such as milling machines and lathes.
  • Constructs all types of major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master gauges and related tooling products.
  • Assembles and fastens component parts together, using hand tools, power tools, and bench machines.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective product parts, using hand tools and other various equipment.
  • Sets-up and operates power machine tools and accessories for the machining of tools and dies.
  • Prepares, breakdown of jigs and fixtures, tool masters or master tooling gauges into components.
  • Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and tool use instructions.
  • Lifts, loads, sorts, and moves materials, supplies, and finished products between storage and work areas, using pushcarts, dolly, hoist, cranes, forklifts and manlifts.
  • Behaves consistently and predictably; is reliable, responsible and dependable in fulfilling obligations and diligently follows through on commitments and consistently meets deadlines.
  • Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.
  • Understands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).
  • Respond and follow up to a customer’s inquiry or problem in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identifies problems and review relevant information to develop options, then implement the solutions.
  • Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder), or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1157-1158.

Responsibilities

  • Installs and maintains production machines, production equipment, and facility’s equipment.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Performs repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems.
  • Responds to troubleshoot, repair, or improve individual machines and/or whole line mechanical, electrical power and control systems and perform repairs and provide preventative maintenance on production and non-production equipment as directed by supervision.
  • Facilitates in the transfer of tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and areas.
  • Reviews blueprints and models for tool assembly sequence, details, and assemblies.
  • Sets-up and runs mills, lathes, grinding machines to adjust details and assemblies in accordance with blueprint tolerances and specifications.
  • Plumbs vacuum systems; verifies integrity though pressure testing and leak checks.
  • Drills clearance holes, drills and taps holes, and locates and drills precision holes with hand drills and the use of magnet drills.
  • Performs minor MIG welding for spot and repair requirements.
  • Understands, mixes, pours and utilizes two-part epoxies such as REPRO and Quikrete.
  • Knows, understands, communicates, and ensures compliance with OHSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Recognizes, addresses, and resolves issues and or problems amongst and between employees.
  • Follows project plans, schedules, and ensures that employees under his/her direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals.
  • Oversees project execution to include quality and production requirements.
  • Ensures employees execute the job specifications and meet the project requirements.
  • Reports project progress and inspects completed projects.
  • Completes daily time keeping and database purchase orders for contingents and assists employees.
  • Operates forklifts and man lifts and various other high-reach equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
