About The Position

The Installation Technician is responsible to install and assist in all phases of installing, testing and servicing/troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. To that end, the Installation/Service Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation project/service call. The Installation/Service Technician ensures that Kastle system installation/service orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.

Requirements

2 or more years’ experience installing: commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling
Door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices
Knowledge of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital voltmeters

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/GED preferred
Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocols and Cat5 technologies preferred

Responsibilities

Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
Pulling cable, rough in/patch in, bending conduit, terminate.
Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.
Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.
