About The Position

The Installation Technician is responsible to install and assist in all phases of installing, testing and servicing/troubleshooting security, access control and video systems at customer sites. To that end, the Installation/Service Technician may interact directly with the client, client representatives, other contractors and Kastle personnel to ensure a successful installation project/service call. The Installation/Service Technician ensures that Kastle system installation/service orders are implemented accurately and on time, and that these services meet or exceed client expectations.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years’ experience installing: commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling
  • Door hardware, electric and mechanical locking devices
  • Knowledge of building codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
  • Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital voltmeters

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
  • Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocols and Cat5 technologies preferred

Responsibilities

  • Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems accurately and on time following Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
  • Pulling cable, rough in/patch in, bending conduit, terminate.
  • Identify any issues regarding timeline or progress and communicate to supervisor.
  • Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology and internal processes/procedures.
