Requirements

• Successful completion of the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission Certified Basic Police Academy (Act 120) training.
• Possession of a valid Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
• Maintain an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) card once it is issued.
• Obtain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• Pass a medical examination and drug screening.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and high risk zones to maintain safety and visibility
• Examine vehicle accidents and suspected crimes and prepare clear reports of findings
• Apply federal, state, and local laws through warnings, citations, or arrests as appropriate
• Assess emergency situations and coordinate with fire, medical, or law enforcement partners
• Prepare documentation, maintain activity logs, and submit reports to support legal and operational needs
• Use patrol vehicles, communication systems, and monitoring equipment to support daily operations
