Installation Mechanic C - Colorado Springs
About The Position
Holman is seeking an Installation Mechanic C to join their upfitting division in Colorado Springs, CO. This role involves installing new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles, building vehicles according to work instructions and prints, and safely mounting and connecting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. The mechanic will also test installed parts, verify work order completion, and communicate suggestions for continuous improvement. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a pay range of $22-$26 per hour. Holman designs, manufactures, and installs equipment for a wide variety of customers, trades, and industries, including service bodies, mechanic bodies, platform bodies, dump bodies, gooseneck bodies, and light-duty trucks and vans. They install equipment such as ladder racks, partitions, truck-mounted welders and generators, floor liners, shelving, cranes, and other electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Welding and Fabrication or Plumbing (in all areas)
- 2-4 years of previous electrical, mechanical, and equipment assembly experience required
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Understanding of 12V circuits
- Ability to troubleshoot problems
- Previous experience with hydraulics and welding
- Must be able to provide basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge and skill of reading electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics
- Must have a valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Install new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles
- Build vehicles according to work instructions and prints
- Safely mount and connect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
- Test installed parts prior to final inspection
- Verify all line items have been completed on the work order
- Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process
