About The Position

The Wasserstrom Company, a leading Food Service Distributor, is seeking an Installation Manager for its Columbus, Ohio headquarters. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality installation services that exceed customer expectations while maintaining profitability. The manager will focus on creating new business approaches, managing labor and expenses, and addressing customer needs. This position also oversees the parcel truck fleet and a warehouse, and may perform other related tasks.

Requirements

  • 2 year / Associate Degree
  • 5 years relevant installation experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook
  • Technical ability to learn and use a variety of software programs
  • Ability to analyze data and formulate recommendations based on the analysis
  • Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed
  • Proactively seeks out continuous improvement opportunities
  • Interpersonal skills; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the installation of equipment according to Wasserstrom Companies' and customers' specifications.
  • Acts as the Company representative when interacting with customers, maintaining a positive attitude and striving for customer satisfaction.
  • Manages field modifications to meet customer and Company standards.
  • Proactively addresses repair needs in the field and develops innovative methods to resolve discrepancies.
  • Develops and maintains trust and respect with colleagues, management, sales associates, and customers to foster a positive environment.
  • Performs data analysis on financials to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and new revenue streams.
  • Supervises associates within the Installation Department.
  • Supervises the parcel truck fleet within the Columbus metro area.
  • Supervises associates in the equipment warehouse.
  • Plans, assigns, and directs team work, delegating tasks and explaining proper procedures.
  • Manages budget, labor, and warehouse costs.
  • Provides training and performance feedback.
  • Conducts associate check-ins and is responsible for goal achievement.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts other supervisory tasks as needed.
