About The Position

The Installation Manager implements design drawings, device schedules, and submittals based on customer bids from the Pre-Sales Engineering department, ensuring product compatibility with existing site conditions. This role requires knowledge in CCTV, Access Control, IP Intercom, Intrusion, and Network systems. The position involves overseeing the technical integration of security solutions, providing on-site support for installation challenges, and creating detailed drawings and submittals for general contractor review. The Installation Manager also handles post-installation as-built drawings, reviews pre-sales approved proposals, and acts as a technical support liaison with manufacturers. Collaboration with Post-Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales Engineering, integrators, manufacturers, and the project management team is crucial for implementing customer goals and resolving technical/scheduling conflicts. Additionally, the role includes providing technical training for installation teams on new technologies and conducting on-site visits for Pre-Sales (approximately 10% of the job). Collaboration with general contractors during the rough-in phase ensures all security-impacted disciplines are addressed. Systems supported include, but are not limited to, Genetec, S2, Honeywell, Verkada, Kantech, Bosch, Axis, Milestone, Avigilon-Alta, Brivo-EE, and Assa-Abbloy. The role is structured as 70% Design Engineering, 10% Pre-Sales Quoting, and 20% Field Engineering.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
  • Experience using software driven technologies to better develop installation team installs
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings
  • Ability to determine what type of technologies will be utilized for the field installation team

Responsibilities

  • Oversees technical integration of security solutions to be installed by internal/contractor teams
  • Provides on-site support when required due to field installation challenges
