About The Position

Stivers Midwest Pro Upfits is seeking an Installation/Upfit Technician to install, service, and repair emergency vehicle equipment and two-way radio systems. The business is a growing subsidiary of Stivers Ford Lincoln, a family-owned business, and provides communications solutions and emergency vehicle upfits for public safety partners throughout the Midwest, as well as communications and safety solutions for private-sector customers. The role offers starting pay of $18 to $25 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on relevant experience and advancement/pay increases after training. Requirements

• Familiarity with 12-volt vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to handle the physical workload.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to perform quality work and take pride in workmanship.

Nice To Haves

• Previous emergency lighting and radio installation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install emergency lighting, prisoner cages, camera systems, consoles, radios, and other equipment.
• Inspect equipment and perform repairs and replacements.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
