Installation/Emergency Vehicle Upfit Technician
About The Position
Stivers Midwest Pro Upfits is hiring an Installation/Upfit Technician to install, service, and repair emergency vehicle equipment and two-way radio systems. The business is a new and growing subsidiary of Stivers Ford Lincoln, a 42-year-old family-owned business. Stivers Midwest Pro Upfits provides communications solutions and emergency vehicle upfits for public safety partners throughout the Midwest, as well as communications and safety solutions for private-sector business customers. The role offers starting pay of $18 to $25 per hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience and advancement/pay increases after training. Requirements
- Familiarity with 12-volt vehicle electrical systems.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability and commitment to perform quality work with pride in workmanship.
Nice To Haves
- Previous emergency lighting and radio installation experience is a plus.
- The employer will train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Install emergency lighting, prisoner cages, camera systems, consoles, radios, and other equipment.
- Inspect equipment and perform repairs and replacements.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
