About The Position

The Install & Service Technician III is a senior-level field technician responsible for advanced installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of low-voltage security systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and a commitment to ensuring seamless system integration.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 8 years of experience installing a wide variety of enterprise low-voltage security systems in commercial environments.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid DOT Physical.
  • Expertise in system installation, commissioning, and integration, with strong knowledge of IP-based security, networking, and technical schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 Certification or demonstrated knowledge of worksite safety protocols.
  • Manufacturer certifications from one or more of the following: Genetec, Milestone Systems, Pelco, HID, Mercury, CodeBlue, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, Amag, Software House, Lenel, LifeSafetyPower, SQL Database, and Windows Software Configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced installation of low-voltage security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control devices, intrusion systems, and data network hardware, ensuring precise configuration and functionality.
  • Lead system commissioning, configuring and testing hardware and software for complex security systems to ensure proper operation and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Independently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve wiring, hardware, and software issues across multiple manufacturers and system types.
  • Repair and replace defective wiring, components, or devices, applying deep technical expertise without the need for direct oversight.
  • Integrate multiple low-voltage systems (e.g., video surveillance, access control, alarm systems) into a cohesive operational setup, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Configure and optimize IP-based systems, including network security cameras, access control systems, and public address systems, ensuring effective communication across networks.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, testing results, and troubleshooting logs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reporting on system installations, repairs, and configurations for future reference.
  • Ensure all work complies with company standards, industry regulations, OSHA guidelines, and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Maintain personal jobsite readiness, ensuring all necessary tools, equipment, and technical knowledge are in place to execute high-level fieldwork.
