About The Position
This position involves working one-on-one and in small groups with students, providing transition support for daily routines and activities. The applicant should be able to work effectively with school staff and students of all ages. A strong desire and skills to assist students with life skills and transition activities are essential. The role also requires a willingness to participate in training and complete other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess one of the following or be willing to obtain to be highly qualified: Two-year college degree, Passed ParaPro Assessment, 48 credit hours of college-level classes, or Childhood Development Associate certificate (CDA).
- Kokomo School Corporation Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
- Provide transition support for daily routine and activities.
- Work well with school staff and students of all ages.
- Assist students with life skills and transition activities.
- Participate in training.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
