About The Position

This position is located at Pettit Park Middle School and requires 37.5 hours per week for 186 days (9.5 months). The hourly rate is $12.53. The role involves working one-on-one and in small groups with students, potentially in a middle school credit recovery setting, and providing remediation support. The applicant must be able to collaborate effectively with school staff and students of all ages, and complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to work well with students, parents, and teachers/administrators.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess one of the following or be willing to obtain to be highly qualified: Two-year college degree, Passed ParaPro Assessment, 48 credit hours of college level classes, OR Childhood Development Associate certificate (CDA).
• Kokomo School Corporation Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one and in small groups with students.
• Be willing to work in middle school credit recovery setting.
• Provide remediation support for students.
• Work well with school staff and students of all ages.
• Complete other duties as requested.
