About The Position

We are looking for an Inspector for our Lake Orion facility. In this role you will enter customer order information into computer system, inspect and rack customer products. The Inspector will work in a self-directed capacity in a fast-paced environment. They will also work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow. In performing the daily tasks, the individual will draw upon training and experience to make important front-end and back-end processing decisions. As part of the primary responsibilities, this individual will also ensure that once the customers’ products have been processed, they are inspected for quality, re-packaged, and shipped accurately.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Effective verbal /writing skills
  • Ability to read/write/speak English
  • Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
  • Must be proficient in ordering supplies via the internet.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detail oriented.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 44 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior machine operator experience preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g. drills, etc.) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
  • Inspect the finished product.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
  • Act as a member of the monthly ‘Quality Council’.
  • Visual inspection of tools for proper coating.
  • Learn defixturing techniques.
  • Post quantities being shipped into the computer system.
  • Pack customer parts for shipping.
  • Use XRF equipment to document coating thickness.
  • Use various shipping software.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribes safety regulations.
  • Must conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.
