About The Position

Administrative, technical and inspection work in enforcing provisions of the Massachusetts Electrical Code as it applies to electrical installations. Performs duties on an on-call as needed basis to fill in for the Wire Inspector in their absence.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• More than five years experience in the supervision of electrical systems installed for residential, commercial and industrial construction
• Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician license
• Class D drivers license
• Thorough knowledge of the Massachusetts Electrical Code
• Thorough knowledge of all types of electrical installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
• Ability to maintain complete and accurate records
• Ability to prepare reports

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of the principles of electrical engineering as it applies to electrical appliances and wiring installations
• Some familiarity with computers including word processing, spreadsheet and database
