About The Position

This individual is responsible for final and in-process inspection, packaging, and properly labeling all stock and custom products produced in the department. They will perform duties of in-process and final inspection packaging to specification and shipment for the division's stock and custom label products. This role also involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various automatic turret rewind and packaging equipment. Accurate data recording, packaging and moving orders, delivering inspected product, and managing packaging supplies are key functions. The inspector will use various computer programs/systems for tasks like creating labels, executing transactions, sending emails, and entering process data. Maintaining a clean work area, ensuring optimal department supply levels, and meeting performance standards for quantity, quality, and timeliness are also essential. The role requires performing daily duties with minimal supervision and maintaining attendance and punctuality at or above company standards. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager may also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders through production engineering blueprints, specification, quads and drawing appendix information.
  • Ability to perform duties of in-process and final inspection packaging to specification and shipment for the division's stock and custom label products.
  • Ability to setup, operate and troubleshoot various automatic turret rewind and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to accurately record data per specification as required either electronically or manually.
  • Ability to package and move orders in the most expeditious manner.
  • Ability to deliver packaged and inspected product to finish goods.
  • Ability to manage and stock packaging supplies as needed.
  • Proficiency in using various computer programs/systems to make labels, execute transactions, send e-mails, and enter process data.
  • Ability to maintain work area through good housekeeping habits.
  • Ability to maintain department supplies to ensure an optimal level of service.
  • Ability to perform daily duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to meet performance standards: Quantity, quality and timeliness of output at or above department standards.
