About The Position

Supervises cleaning personnel and inspects hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies. Assigns work to cleaning personnel and trains them in housekeeping duties. Posts room occupancy records and addresses guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment. Writes requisitions for housekeeping services or equipment and reports needed room redecoration to housekeepers. Examines carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage, or wear. Checks and counts linens and supplies, and records inspection results, notifying cleaning personnel of inadequacies. Attends training seminars to perfect housekeeping techniques and procedures. Responsible for the coordination of team members and evaluation of this unit, including training employees and resolving problems.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum 2-3 years hotel housekeeping experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties
Ability to walk up to 1 mile
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to sit at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift
Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis
Sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone
