The Inspector promotes a safe working environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injury. This role is responsible for ensuring finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations by identifying and classifying typical defects. Critical defects are those likely to cause package failure or unsafe conditions, major defects cause handling or performance problems, and minor defects are aesthetically objectionable. The Inspector alerts the Operator to defects, verifies packaging parameters against specifications, and performs any necessary rework safely. Additionally, the Inspector maintains a clean work area, performs housekeeping duties, and assists in various team tasks such as organizing, packing, erecting corrugated, and performing rework. The role also involves assisting machine operators with tasks like grinding bottles, clearing jams, and general machine upkeep, as well as supporting the Maintenance department during planned maintenance. The Inspector evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment, inspects work areas for unsafe acts/conditions, and uses effective verbal and written communication. All duties are performed in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
