About The Position

The Inspector is responsible for the inspection of finished goods to ensure the quality of the product meets the production specifications detailed by work instructions. This role involves verifying that finished goods meet production specifications as detailed by router, drawings, and inspection instructions, performing leak testing on finished goods using multiple methods of pressurized testing, and rejecting parts that do not fulfill customer needs and expectations. The Inspector will communicate with appropriate supervisory staff, document pass or fail findings, and document information regarding non-conformance of products, materials, and parts. This position follows a daily testing schedule to continuously meet quoted lead times and uses standard work methods to ensure products are adequately tested and graded. Additionally, the role practices safe work habits and is responsible for maintaining the 5S housekeeping system within assigned work areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Basic understanding of print reading and tolerances
  • Must be able to use basic handheld measuring tools.
  • Basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in standing position throughout shift.

Responsibilities
