About The Position

The Inspector assists internal customers in meeting quality requirements by inspecting parts, communicating with internal customers, and working on computers. The role performs dimensional and cosmetic inspections, documents and investigates rejects, meets cycle time requirements, and completes assigned housekeeping duties. The position may involve contact with hazardous chemicals and includes other tasks required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

The position reports to an Account Representative or Area Leader. It is an hourly, non-exempt role. Training requirements are defined in the Learning Management System based on the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED expected; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
• Ability to read and analyze technical procedures, control plans, and government regulations.
• Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and electronic equipment.
• Proficiency using a computer.
• Must be able to perform physical functions equivalent to Job Category B – Medium Labor Intensive Category.

Nice To Haves

• Electroplating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, and visual aids.
• Perform cosmetic inspections using customer diagrams.
• Meet cycle time requirements.
• Document internal and external rejects using Microsoft Excel and Navision.
• Investigate internal rejects to determine validity and identify root causes.
• Perform assigned housekeeping duties.
• Complete other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
