About The Position
We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is hands-on and focused on dimensional inspections, first articles, and ensuring every part meets aerospace-level standards. You’ll work with both manual tools and advanced inspection equipment like CMMs and optical comparators.
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on inspection experience (aerospace strongly preferred)
- Advanced understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with common inspection equipment and gage usage
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- High school diploma or GED required
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable operating manual and DCC CMMs
- Technical training or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections on machined and assembled products
- Use calipers, blade and depth micrometers, bore gages, optical comparators, and CMMs
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and planning documents
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and create reports per AS9102
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- Inspect threads, bores, surface finishes, and overall part quality
- Document results, discrepancies, and communicate issues clearly
- Work with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams
- Support quality improvement and R&D activities
- Use software tools including 1Factory and MAP
