About The Position

1st FP McAllen, LLC is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector for their Corpus branch. This role is responsible for the testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, identifying deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals, and writing detailed reports on inspection findings. The company is a privately-owned fire protection company that designs, fabricates, installs, maintains, and inspects fire protection systems in commercial & industrial buildings, with multiple offices across Texas.

Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Clean driving record.
Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection testing and installation.
RME-I License Required.
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Ability to work on ladders and lifts up to 50 feet tall.
Valid driver’s license.
2-3 years’ experience inspecting various types of fire sprinkler systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reliable transportation.
MS Office (Word & Excel) experience.

Nice To Haves

FAL, BPAT, FEL-B, FEL-A, FEL-K preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing, and preventative maintenance with water-based systems and/or sprinkler systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and fire codes.
Perform system tests for leaks using air and liquid pressure equipment.
Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.
Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
Communicate with Branch Manager on inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status of job to ensure that the customer receives the work per proposed scope.
