Requirements

  • High School or equivalent and basic computer skills.
  • Airframe and/or Powerplant license.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment used in aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a lead role for aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • Experience with borescope inspection and interpretation of technical data during the borescope process.
  • Familiarity with all regulatory requirements governing aircraft jet engine maintenance.
  • Ability to communicate inspection priorities clearly and concisely to inspection personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing per FAA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring thorough familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment within their assigned area.
  • Maintaining proficiency in using inspection aids and understanding current specifications for them.
  • Ensuring inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and properly calibrated.
  • Understanding manufacturer specifications for inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures, and possessing English language proficiency.
  • Ensuring all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and records are executed correctly before final approval for return to service.
  • Performing disassembly and repair of all types of aircraft engine usable parts.
  • Assisting with the reconfiguration or reconditioning of equipment.
  • Performing scripted test procedures to isolate failures to sub-assembly and/or component level.
  • Successfully replacing failed sub-assemblies, parts, or components.
  • Performing scripted repair procedures and functionally testing parts or products.
  • Assisting Repair technicians/Engineers/Technical Services as required.
  • Maintaining constant adherence to inventory control practices and procedures.
  • Interpreting OEM manuals and router instructions.
