About The Position

The Inspector/Sorter position is responsible for evaluating the quality of the product being produced, reporting deficiencies, and keeping up with line speed to act quickly. This role requires motivation, a desire to learn and implement new ideas, and the ability to work in a frequently changing environment. The inspector will perform rework as needed, inform leads or supervisors of any mechanical breakdowns or production problems, and make product pathology and food safety dispositions. This role also involves conducting workflow for the New Poultry Inspection System (NPIS) Evisceration operation and adhering to Tyson's safety culture. The job requires the use of hands, arms, and legs to monitor the production process, ensure proper operation, and perform line duties. The work environment includes wet floors, a cold environment, and sometimes cramped quarters. Sanitizing agents will be utilized, and there is exposure to moving objects, electrical, and mechanical hazards. Basic reading and general safety knowledge are required.

Responsibilities
