About The Position

The Inspector is responsible for ensuring that every motorhome meets established quality, safety, regulatory, and company standards prior to release. This role supports production by conducting detailed inspections, performing functional testing, documenting findings, identifying defects, validating corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive interior, exterior, and functional inspections of motorhomes to verify compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Perform functional testing and validation of various QCTMs, coach systems, and components to verify proper operation, identify defects, and ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
Follow established inspection procedures, control plans, and quality checkpoints to identify defects, nonconformances, and potential risks to product quality.
Accurately document inspection and testing results using tablets, Travelers (QCTMs), and applicable quality systems.
Communicate quality concerns, recurring defects, and process deviations to production leadership and appropriate support teams.
Escalate quality issues, control plan failures, and safety concerns through established procedures.
Verify that corrective actions have been completed and confirm issues are resolved prior to product release.
Interpret product specifications, engineering documentation, build requirements, and customer configurations to ensure compliance with established standards.
Apply knowledge of RVIA standards and applicable codes related to electrical, plumbing, LP gas systems, and vehicle safety requirements.
Utilize inspection tools and measurement devices to evaluate workmanship, fit and finish, functionality, and overall product quality.
Support root cause investigations by providing detailed inspection data, testing results, and observations to production and quality teams.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard awareness procedures.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and leadership teams to improve processes, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Assist in training and mentoring team members on inspection standards, quality expectations, testing procedures, and defect identification as needed.
Maintain a thorough understanding of production line layouts, manufacturing processes, and inspection requirements.
