About The Position

ProAmpac is hiring an Inspector Packer (also referred to in the posting as a Bag Inspector) at its Rosemount, Minnesota facility. This first-shift role works Monday through Friday, 3 a.m. to 3 p.m. The employee inspects bags for defects, removes poor-quality bags, reclaims bags when possible, records pallet counts, and assists other inspectors as needed. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
Ability to bend, twist, and kneel.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand continuously for 2–3 hours.
Ability to perceive colors.
Manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

Pull hands of bags onto the inspection table and inspect them for open ends, doubles, triples, crooked folds, turn backs, turn under, loosely sealed folds, improperly sized gussets, and missing anti-skid or lacquer.
Set aside a hand of bags at the beginning of an order or as needed to replace bags periodically checked and torn down.
Discard poor-quality bags.
Reclaim bags using a glue gun.
Notify the Bottomer Operator if a problem continues.
Count and record the number of bags stacked on each pallet during the shift, and provide the records to the Bottomer Operator.
Assist other inspectors by sweeping and inspecting when all work in the area is complete.
Perform additional tasks assigned by management to ensure continuity of production.
