About The Position

This role is responsible for packing products into containers and cartons, sealing and labeling packages, and preparing them for shipping or storage. The inspector will also inspect products, materials, and containers to ensure they meet company quality standards, and identify and report any defects or issues. Additionally, the role involves operating or assisting with machines such as conveyors, and monitoring equipment. Documentation and record-keeping are also part of the responsibilities, as is maintaining a clean and organized workspace to meet production goals. The position requires following instructions and procedures, being reliable and consistent, and communicating any issues to supervisors. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school / Grade 10 level education
• 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing/packaging
• Knowledge of reading and understanding simple instructions
• Basic writing/communication skills
• Simple math skills (add, subtract, count, measure)
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Ability to use common sense in routine situations
• Attention to detail
• Following workplace safety rules (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act)
• Wearing PPE (protective equipment)
• Reporting hazards or unsafe conditions
• Working safely around machinery
• Understanding of food safety
