PROCESSING OPERATORS (DAY SHIFT) 7:00AM-7:00PM
About The Position
This role involves operating stretch blow molding machines and lift equipment, inspecting and packing rigid-plastic PET containers, and performing scheduled charting and inspections on machines and associated equipment. The position operates on a day shift from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, working only 15 days a month with a rotating schedule. Responsibilities include starting and stopping machines, performing routine maintenance, inspecting containers, packing containers at production-line speeds, operating lift trucks, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting with machine changeovers. The role also requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Food Safety Compliance, and willingness to fill in as a Packaging Technician when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Must have good housekeeping skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have knowledge of product identification and have basic math skills.
- Fork-lift experience.
- Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
- Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically).
- Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
- Must be able to complete routine paperwork accurately.
- work with automated equipment.
- Ability to operator a scanner.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Start and stop stretch blow-molding machines to produce quality, rigid-plastic containers.
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning & lubricating and/or tightening of machine assembles.
- Perform container inspections using test equipment, statistical quality methods & visual inspection techniques.
- Pack containers into boxes/cartons at designated production-line speeds according to specifications & stack packed cartons to build 4 ft. high units.
- Safely operate lift trucks to move materials.
- Perform as a responsible team member to maintain a clean, safe, and effective work environment.
- Operate stretch blow molding machines, pull seepage, apply SPC methodologies for initiating machine adjustments, change materials, assist in changeovers and identify start and stop of out-of-spec production (held ware).
- Willing to fill in as Packaging Technician when needed to complete orders.
- Responsible for maintaining and adhering to established Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Safety Quality Foods (SQF) compliance requirements.
