About The Position

This role is responsible for packing products into containers and cartons, sealing and labeling packages, and preparing them for shipping or storage. The inspector packer will also inspect products, materials, and containers to ensure they meet company quality standards, and identify and report any defects or issues. Additionally, the role involves operating or assisting with machines such as conveyors, and monitoring equipment. Documentation and record-keeping are also part of the responsibilities, as is maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position requires working efficiently to meet production goals, following instructions and procedures, and being reliable and consistent. Communication of issues to supervisors is essential. This role also emphasizes following workplace safety rules, wearing appropriate PPE, reporting hazards, and working safely around machinery. Food safety and site safety are core responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school / Grade 10 level education
• 0–1 year of experience in manufacturing/packaging
• Knowledge of reading and understanding simple instructions
• Basic writing/communication skills
• Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Ability to use common sense in routine situations
• Attention to detail
