About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for an Inspector Non-Destructive Testing located in Ridley Park, PA. This role involves performing quality control inspections using various non-destructive testing methods, ensuring parts meet quality standards, and maintaining relevant documentation. The inspector may also be required to perform duties at other company or vendor locations and assist with minor equipment repairs and maintenance. Planning and writing inspection procedures, participating in the development of test programs, and potentially instructing others are also key aspects of this position. Adherence to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards is essential.

Requirements

  • Must have an NAS 410 NDT Level 2 with ASNT Qualifications and all three of the following NDE disciplines: Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Eddy Current (ET)
  • Must currently hold a Magnetic Particle or Dye Penetrant Certification OR have completed equivalent on the job training hours for a Level II American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) Certification
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control inspection to the applicable Method specific procedures.
  • Setup, load, and inspect production parts in accordance with established test programs, calibration standards, and inspection plans.
  • Stamp or otherwise indicate parts of acceptable quality, note flaw indications and prepare and maintain records for parts of unacceptable quality.
  • Compare Company and vendor test results against accepted standards, determine acceptability, and obtain Customer Inspection approval.
  • May be required to perform inspection duties at subsidiary plants, vendor or subcontractor plants.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment such as replacing fuses, circuit breakers, wires, tubes, and assist in maintenance of Method Specific records and supplies.
  • Plan and write inspection plan documents detailing operations and instructions required to set up test equipment, position parts, and carry out tests.
  • Participate in the development of test programs, procedures, and acceptance criteria for calibration standards.
  • May provide instruction to employees and vendors designated to assist with the above duties.
  • Use all materials, tools, equipment, and instruments and perform work in accordance with drawings, specifications, written, and oral instructions, and Company standards of workmanship, safety, and good housekeeping practices.
