About The Position

The Inspector II provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of materials or the work of others. The results of the Inspector's evaluation are documented and communicated to organizational stakeholders, typically supplier development and/or manufacturing. The Inspector's approval certifies that the work or material meets Abbott's quality system requirements. This position is in Abbott's Electrophysiology Division in Plymouth, MN, which advances the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/ GED
• 2 Years of Experience
• Equivalent Combination of Education and Work Experience
• Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

Responsibilities

• Audits materials or the work of others through the examination, inspection, measurement, or test of raw materials, components, sub assemblies, final assemblies and documentation.
• Documents non-conformance or suspected non-conformance to standards through the identification of unsuccessful audits, completion of required paperwork, system transactions, and affixing their mark.
• Handles discrepant materials per documented disposition and documents activities in appropriate systems or paperwork.
• Communicates the status of audit metrics and other assignments, responsibilities, and duties verbally and through periodic reports.
• Performs simple statistical analysis through data collection and input into software applications or manual calculations.
• Issues, stores, counts, and maintains inventory in different storage areas.
• Handles, disposes, transfers, and documents hazardous waste appropriately.
• Solves a variety of problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity requiring basic interpretation of defined procedures and practices.
• Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
