Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join their quality team as a Quality Inspector. This position is responsible for ensuring manufactured parts meet Kurt's quality standards and customer specifications through thorough inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished products using various quality tools. This is a first shift position, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Kurt Machining is a division of Kurt Manufacturing, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, and is 100% employee owned. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent GED
2 years of related experience

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree
4 years of related experience
Metrosoft or PC DMIS experience

Responsibilities

Provide receiving, in-process and final inspection for quality, appearance and performance of complicated equipment, instruments or products, or of diversified parts and assemblies using precision testing equipment, including CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc.
Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
Test finished products for dimensions, fit, surface finish, and appearance.
Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, non-conforming material tags, and return material notices.
Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Devise unusual measuring or gauging set-ups (may be required).
Make periodic spot checks of variety of parts in progress for adherence to specifications (may be required).
Reliable attendance is required.
