Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
- In lieu of a degree, the candidate must have at least 5 years of construction-related experience
- Compliance with company vehicle policy is required or be willing to travel to various project areas as needed
- Possess solid negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to problems, along with a high level of math aptitude
- Ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Provide daily site inspection reports to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes.
- Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor and document contractor resource utilization (labor, materials and equipment) for field changes, and time and material work and assist with negotiation of basic field construction changes.
- Regularly attend and participate in construction meetings, safety meetings/updates and project site coordination meetings.
- Verify equipment and materials installation.
- Measure and record pay quantities.
- Review the contractor's schedule.
- Coordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspections.
- Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
- Maintain project records including safety documentation.
- Manage project photographic records.
- Conduct verification of field surveys.
- Maintain a daily report of all work site activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
