About The Position

Everon is seeking an Inspector I to join their team. This role involves learning customer sites, conducting routine inspections and functional tests of CCTV cameras and related security equipment, and documenting any deficiencies. The Inspector I will also be responsible for cleaning equipment, verifying operation after maintenance, preparing detailed reports, and communicating with customers. This position requires the use of various computer systems and mobile applications, maintaining company vehicle and supplies, and potentially traveling to neighboring islands. The goal is to meet established quality, productivity, documentation, and customer-service goals while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.
  • Some knowledge in CCTV cameras, video surveillance systems, basic low-voltage equipment, and inspection procedures.
  • Basic computer and mobile-device skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and data entry.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate, and detailed inspection notes and reports.
  • Ability to learn to read equipment labels, diagrams, checklists, policies, and procedures written in English.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently after training.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Learn customer sites, system layouts, equipment locations, and inspection requirements.
  • Conduct routine inspections and functional tests of CCTV cameras and related security equipment using company procedures and checklists.
  • Identify and document camera issues, equipment damage, low batteries, obstructed views, poor image quality, and other deficiencies.
  • Clean camera housings and lenses, focus or adjust cameras when permitted, and replace approved batteries and other basic components.
  • Verify equipment operation after inspection or maintenance and promptly report issues that require repair by a service technician.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and detailed inspection and deficiency reports for customers and management.
  • Enter completed inspection results, equipment information, notes, photographs, and follow-up needs into customer reports and the company database.
  • Communicate with customers regarding upcoming inspections, scheduling, access needs, work completed, and identified deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with service management to ensure repair needs and follow-up work are documented and scheduled.
  • Maintain professional customer service, answer basic questions, and refer technical or contractual questions to the appropriate team member.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, email, mobile applications, and company systems to complete daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain an organized company vehicle, tools, batteries, cleaning supplies, and inspection materials.
  • Travel to neighboring islands as needed, typically on a monthly basis.
  • Meet established quality, productivity, documentation, and customer-service goals.
  • Follow all company safety policies, customer site requirements, and applicable procedures.
  • Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
